THIESSEN MAKES SUDDEN U-TURN
SAYS HIS PERSONAL ISSUES ARE RESOLVED AND WITH 5 DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION, HE HAS DECIDED TO SERVE IF ELECTED.
BACKGROUND: On October 1, 2025, Jules Thiessen informed the County Clerk that he was withdrawing from the election due to personal reasons. He stated that if elected, he would not serve. By approximately October 25, 2025, a direct mail campaign on behalf of Thiessen was launched by The Burlington County Labor Voice. On October 27, 2025, The Mount Holly Reporter texted Mr. Thiessen to ask if the direct mail campaign meant that he had changed his mind. Mr. Thiessen did not respond.
At 10:32 AM on October 31, 2025, The Mount Holly Reporter notified Jules Thiessen via text that we would publish an article stating that he failed to respond to repeated questions about whether he changed his mind about withdrawing from the race and not serving.
Thiessen did not respond to that text. We published our article at 11:57 AM.
