There are 134 Brainerd Street PSE&G customers who can’t run air conditioners tonight. The fault that caused this was a mystery to the PSE&G staff member I spoke to who was searching each pole along Brainerd with a flashlight.
While the cause remains “under investigation”, what is clear is that the heat wave that will visit us through Saturday has driven up demand and put stress on the distribution system. PSE&G believes the power will be restored by 4 AM today.
