The Mt Holly Friends Meeting on High Street is in its third year of providing events for any family who has kids dealing with or concerned about the issue of bullying.
Named PACK (Powerful And Caring Kids), the program aims to build a community of children and their families who will learn and share strategies for stopping and dealing with bullying in the schools and elsewhere. Each two-hour event includes discussion, hands-on activities and shared food to help build community and work on the bullying issue.
This school year’s first event will be on Sunday, November 15, beginning at 11: 15 am at the Mt Holly Friends Meetinghouse (corner of High & Garden St, Mt. Holly). The event will include breakfast snacks, an intro meeting, a sign-making session and a MARCH FOR KINDNESS down High Street, ending back at the Meetinghouse by 1:30 or earlier.
Signs may be made on that day, or at Mt. Holly’s Fun Fall Day on October 31 (Look for sign making table at the Meetinghouse). You may also make your signs ahead of the time: Use slogans such as : Time for Kindness/ Stand up Against Bullying/ Mt Holly supports PACK/ Kindness Costs Nothing: Splurge/ Bullying Has to Stop, or other signs of your choice with a kindness theme.
All are invited to the free PACK events, but it is appreciated if you email Doris Pulone at dpulone@comcast.net to be assured we have enough sign materials for you.
